Overview

Please join us for the Pot O' Gold Four Mile Run & Walk, with a scenic course, minimal turns, making this course flat and fast. Along with the four mile run there will be a four mile walk, Heavyweight division for the runners, 1/4 mile Blarney Trot for the kids and the Luck of the Day Pot O' Gold drawing.

Date & Time

Saturday, March 17, 2012. Blarney Trot: 5:00 PM, Four Mile Run: 5:30 PM, Four Mile Walk: 5:31 PM. Registration will begin at 4:00 PM at the Masonic Temple.

Location

Race headquarters is at the Masonic Temple, located at 755 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan 48502. The start time is six blocks away on E. Kearsley Street, just east of Wallenburg Street. The finish line is on W. 4th Street, right next to the Masonic Temple.

Course

The fast, flat and scenic four mile course runs through the University of Michigan-Flint campus, through the cultural area and loops around to finish at Masonic Temple. The course includes the Applewood Extension of the Flint River Trail and takes visitors along the Gilkey Creek. The race is sanctioned by Track Athletic Congress (TAC) and is an event of the Genesee-Lapeer-Shiawassee Regional Fitness Council.

Aid Stations / Splits

There will be water at the two mile mark and at the conclusion of the race. There will also be a clock at the first mile mark, split callers at each mile, and a clock at the Finish line.

FOUR MILE RUN & WALK

  • First overall male and female
  • First male and female over 40 years old
  • First four males & females in age groups 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+, Heavyweight run.
  • The awards will be presented at the Masonic Temple as soon as the race finishes.

BLARNET TROT

  • Little Blarney Trot Awards will be given at the completion of their race.

Timing & Results

Timing and results will be provided by Race Services Company. We will be using ChronoTrack Systems, featuring the disposable B-tag that remains attached to the race number bib.

Results will be posted continuously during the event for review. Complete results will be posted promptly after the event on this website and at www.raceservices.com.
